VEC wins PDO award
MUSCAT: Value Engineering Center (VEC) has received the first-ever PDO In-Country Value (ICV) award in the category of Omanisation and training for its Hire Develop Deploy (HDD) program, announced Sayyid Mohammed Al Said, managing director of VEC Oil and Gas Consultants. This prestigious award was presented to VEC during PDO day, says a press release.
Under the directions and directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said towards the national goal of Omani skill development, VEC has embarked on this program that has developed 80 Omani fresh graduates. A mix of qualifications of engineers, diplomas, and secondary school graduates was developed through this program with exposure to macroeconomics, English language, professional etiquette, and technical skills related to their career plan.
Mentoring and coaching of every graduate being an integral part of the program, where the classroom training moves to on-the-job and real-time field exposure. VEC is a 100 percent Omani engineering firm specialized in oil, gas, and infrastructure engineering design, based in Muscat.
