MUSCAT: Value Engineering Centre (VEC) received the first-ever PDO In-Country Value (ICV) award in the category of Omanisation and training for its Hire Develop Deploy (HDD) program. The award was presented during PDO Day.
Under the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said towards Omani skill development, VEC developed 80 Omani fresh graduates through this program. Participants included engineers, diploma holders, and secondary school graduates. The program provided exposure to macroeconomics, English language, professional etiquette, and technical skills aligned with their career plans.
Mentoring and coaching were integral parts of the program, transitioning classroom training into on-the-job and real-time field exposure. VEC is a 100 percent Omani engineering firm specializing in oil, gas, and infrastructure engineering design, based in Muscat.
